Haley Ferguson brings power-pitching pedigree and useful multi-role depth to Michigan
Ferguson is a strong fit for a staff that values competitive, high-upside pitching depth: as a freshman in 2025, she went 2-1 with a 4.54 ERA and 11 strikeouts in 24.2 innings, then improved in 2026 to 3-1 with a 3.40 ERA over 35.0 innings, including a clutch 4.2-inning relief win over Oakland. She arrived at Michigan as the nation’s No. 3 recruit and a high-school ace with a 0.92 ERA and 696 strikeouts, and her value is amplified by RHP/utility versatility and a reputation for resilience in pressure spots.[1][2][4][7]
