Mounir Hima brings rare rim protection, but his Howard role has been limited
In the 2024-25 season, Hima was a low-usage Howard forward who appeared in 18 games and averaged 0.4 points, 0.8 rebounds and 0.3 blocks in 4.9 minutes per game, so his box-score impact was modest.[5][11] What makes him interesting is the defensive upside: at 6-foot-11, he has long been valued for shot-blocking, rim protection and physical interior play, with earlier stops showing he can produce blocks in short bursts.[4][6][8] He looks like a fit for a team needing size and defense more than scoring, especially if you want a bench big who can change shots and play with energy.[4][6]
