Zereniti Sousa is giving Memphis a real middle-order jolt
In the 2026 season, Zereniti Sousa has emerged as a productive bat for Memphis, highlighted by a program-record nine RBI game and a team-leading RBI pace that pushed her into the heart of the lineup[2][4]. A former Utah State transfer and Extra Inning Softball Elite 100 honoree, she brings a compact 5-foot-4 frame, catcher/infielder versatility, and the kind of gritty, high-ceiling profile coaches love when they want toughness, depth, and instant offense[1][5][12].
