Rico Alvarenga brings dual-role value as UNI’s kicker/punter
Rico Alvarenga is a redshirt freshman kicker/punter at Northern Iowa, which makes him a developmental special-teams piece with upside rather than a polished, stat-heavy finished product. UNI lists him at 5-9, 190 and notes he has no official statistics available yet, so the appeal is in his roster flexibility and potential to grow into both roles for a program that values dependable specialists. If you need a young, coachable depth add with room to develop, he’s worth watching.
