Devlin Smalanskas brings steady infield depth and on-base grit to USC Upstate
In the 2026 season, Devlin Smalanskas appeared in six games for USC Upstate and posted a .200/.333/.200 line, with one hit, one hit-by-pitch, and a season-high hit against South Carolina; his track record also shows stronger production at previous stops, including a .286/.393/.524 sophomore line at Glendale CC and a .304/.467/.632 season at Parkland College, which points to a bat that can get on base and do damage when locked in. He looks like a versatile, experienced INF who can grind at-bats and provide a mature clubhouse presence—useful if a team wants reliable depth more than flash.
