Alex Kuntz brings strikeout stuff and proven run prevention to Tennessee Tech
Alex Kuntz enters Tennessee Tech with a clear calling card: swing-and-miss lefty stuff. In the 2025 season at Concordia Wisconsin, he posted a 2.40 ERA with 83 strikeouts in 48.2 innings, tying the program’s single-season strikeout record and earning First Team All-NACC plus ABCA/D3Baseball.com All-Region Second Team honors. Tennessee Tech’s 2026 roster lists him as a junior pitcher, and he was used in relief against Vanderbilt in March 2026, so the fit looks like a competitive arm with real leverage-inning upside rather than a soft-tossing placeholder.
