Matthew Simay brings bat-to-ball pop, speed, and clutch utility to SIU
In the 2025 season, Matthew Simay showed he can swing a tight game with quick hands, gap power, and active baserunning, including a perfect 4-for-4 game with an RBI and two runs scored, plus a walk-off infield single against Belmont. He entered SIU after a strong Calhoun CC stint (.295 average, 3 homers, 15 RBI, 7 steals in 32 games), and his profile suggests an energetic INF who fits teams that value versatility, tempo, and competitive at-bats more than pure loud power.
