Jacob Gilchrist brings size, length, and upside to UC Davis' backcourt
A 6-foot-7 guard from Twelve Bridges, Jacob Gilchrist arrived at UC Davis as a freshman with a reputation for added length, size, and skill, and he redshirted in the 2024-25 season. UC Davis notes that he was a Foothill Valley League MVP in high school, which hints at real on-ball impact, not just prospect buzz. At this stage, he looks like a long-term fit for teams that value positional size, defensive versatility, and development patience more than instant scoring punch.
