Explosive HS Star Poised for RB Breakout After Redshirt Year
Alan 'Boogie' Woods III, a 5'9", 195-lb freshman RB from Jacksonville, FL, dominated high school with 1,367 rushing yards and 16 TDs his senior year, earning All-News4JAX honors while showcasing receiving chops (109 yards, 2 TDs).[2] Redshirted in 2024-25 after just 2 special teams snaps, he's primed for 2026 impact on a Georgia Southern squad that hit 8-5 last season.[1][2] His compact frame, track speed, and 'Boogie' nickname hint at elusive, high-intensity elusiveness—perfect depth or change-of-pace fit for teams craving a gritty, versatile back with zero college wear.
