High School Strikeout King Dominating as Winthrop's Ace RHP
Jack Ray, the 2026 Winthrop Eagles right-handed pitcher, transferred from Frostburg State where he posted a sharp 2.84 ERA with 54 strikeouts in 12 appearances (11 starts) during the 2025 season, building on his high school dominance as Section 4A-1 Player of the Year with 57 regular-season Ks and a 1.92 ERA. At 6'4" and 215 lbs, his towering frame delivers power and command, holding opponents to a .252 average previously—ideal for teams seeking a battle-tested starter with proven strikeout upside and no notable injury red flags.
