Kareem Aburashed brings size, experience, and academic glue to Central Michigan’s frontcourt
In the 2025-26 season, Kareem Aburashed is a veteran 6-foot-9 center for Central Michigan who arrived in July 2025 after stops at Wayne State and Macomb CC, giving the Chippewas a mature, ready-made interior piece with proven college reps.[1][9] He profiles as a sturdy, physical big who can rebound, finish around the rim, and stretch the floor more than a typical center, with his prior season at Wayne State showing 4.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, and a 40.6% mark from three.[7] He also earned NABC Honors Court recognition for Central Michigan, a nice signal of character and classroom reliability.[15]
