Boston College’s Gabe Malaret brings local power and versatile outfield upside
In the 2026 season, Gabe Malaret is a 6-foot-1, 190-pound sophomore outfielder from Boston who arrived at BC after earning two-time all-NEPSAC honors and a 2025 Championship MVP at Dexter Southfield[1]. He looks like the kind of fit coaches love: physical, switch-hitting, and polished enough to have been added to the roster as a local bat with upside rather than just a warm body[1][2]. The catch is that the public stat line is still thin, so the appeal is more about projection, competitiveness, and a hometown player who seems built to grow into impact at the ACC level[1][3].
