Jacob Golson brings two-way intrigue and roster flexibility to Western Illinois
Jacob Golson is a freshman UT/RHP at Western Illinois whose appeal is versatility: the Leathernecks listed him as a utility player and pitcher, and he’s already been used in relief in 2026. His prep resume included varsity MVP, an all-tournament nod, academic all-state recognition, and a big-slugger award, which points to a player who can help in multiple ways and isn’t shy about pressure. If you want a roster chess piece with developmental upside, Golson is worth a look.
