Bucknell’s 6-2 lefty looking to build on a rocky freshman year
In the 2026 season, Frankie Bilecki flashed real upside for Bucknell when he opened with 4.0 scoreless innings and forced nine fly outs in a 9-0 win over Penn State, showing a pitch-to-contact profile that can play when his command is on[1][3][8]. His freshman 2025 numbers were rough — 15 earned runs in 5 innings over eight relief outings — but the Bison clearly trust his size, starter’s frame, and left-handed look enough to give him the ball again[1]. He also arrives with pedigree from Marist, where he once threw a no-hitter, so the care factor here is simple: a crafty LHP with starter traits and a ceiling that’s more interesting than the early stat line.
