Redshirt Sophomore Guard with High-Intensity Drive at Loyola Marymount
Donald Gipson, a 6-3, 197-pound guard from Los Angeles, is a redshirt sophomore at Loyola Marymount who played a career-high 24 games in the 2018-19 season, showcasing relentless intensity and a team-first mentality despite modest scoring averages (1.7 PPG, 29% FG). His differentiator lies in his defensive hustle and willingness to fill any role, though he has not yet developed consistent shooting (0% from three). While his stats don’t reflect star status, his personality, resilience after redshirting, and commitment to Loyola Marymount make him a valuable fit for teams needing grit, depth, and high-energy role players rather than primary scorers.
