Matt Houston brings senior pop and big-game bat to Louisiana Tech
In the 2026 season, Louisiana Tech catcher Matt Houston flashed real middle-of-the-order juice, hitting .296 with 10 home runs, 24 RBI, 22 runs and 24 walks across 35 appearances, while setting single-season Bulldog career highs in those categories. He’s a physical 6-foot-2, 230-pound senior who pairs power with patience, and the academic-team nod hints at a polished, dependable profile beyond the box score. If you need a catcher who can change a game with one swing and bring veteran steadiness, Houston looks like a strong fit.
