Evan Derrick brings a pro frame and right-arm upside to New Haven
Evan Derrick is a 6-foot-1, 210-pound freshman right-handed pitcher for New Haven with a sturdy build that projects well on the mound, and prep reports listed him with an 86 mph fastball before college. He fits as a developmental arm: physical, durable-looking, and the kind of pitcher a staff can build around if the secondary stuff keeps sharpening. New Haven’s roster lists him on the 2026 staff, but there are no current college season stats available yet, so the real hook is his upside and projection rather than a finished stat line.
