Louisville’s David Johnson: a rangy guard built on shooting, rebounding, and two-way juice
David Johnson stands out as a versatile guard with size, scoring pop, and real floor-spacing value, and his Louisville background plus later pro production suggest he can impact a game in multiple ways rather than just as a ball-handler. In the 2024-25 G League season, he averaged 16.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, and shot 42.8% from three, showing a reliable perimeter threat and uncommon rebounding for a guard. If you want a guard who can stretch defenses, compete physically, and contribute beyond the stat sheet, he’s worth a close look.
