WKU's Sophomore Ace Dominates with 2.06 ERA and 94 SOs in Historic 39-Win Season
Erica Houge, Western Kentucky's sophomore RHP/UTL, is a data-driven powerhouse with a 2.06 ERA and 94 strikeouts in the 2026 season, earning NFCA All-Region and multiple Player of the Week honors. Her differentiators include elite intensity (threw a no-hitter vs. IU Indy with a .036 opponent BA), a two-way value as a 'great athlete' who adds lineup depth, and a personality that fuels the team's 2nd-best single-season win mark (39 wins). She has no reported injury history, and her 5'6" frame masks a fierce competitive fire that makes her a perfect fit for any team needing a reliable ace with clutch gene and offensive versatility.
