Nyla McFadden’s two-way wing game is earning real minutes for Penn State
In the 2025-26 season, Nyla McFadden has been a steady freshman contributor for Penn State, appearing in 28 games with 8 starts and averaging 4.5 points, 2.9 rebounds, 0.9 assists, and 1.0 steal while shooting 47.4% from the field and 82.1% at the line. She stands out as a 6-foot guard/forward who can defend, rebound, and finish efficiently rather than just chase points. For a team, that means a versatile, low-ego connector with growing upside — the kind of player coaches love because the box score only tells part of the story.
