Elite Free-Throw Specialist with High-Intensity Forward Presence at Duke
Bates Jones, a 6-8 forward for Duke Blue Devils, stands out not for volume stats but for his perfect 100% free-throw shooting and relentless defensive intensity. While his 2021-22 averages were modest (1.4 PPG, 1.1 RPG), his differentiator is his unflinching personality under pressure and a history of high-effort plays, including 2 blocks in a key win against South Carolina State. He has no significant injury history, and his 225-pound frame allows him to battle physically in the paint. Though not a primary scorer, his reliability in clutch moments and team-first mindset make him a valuable fit for teams needing a high-intensity, low-maintenance forward who elevates defense without demanding offensive spotlight.
