David Stokely gives Mount St. Mary’s a big-bodied bat with pop in the 2026 season
In the 2026 season, graduate student catcher David Stokely hit .297 with 35 hits, 26 RBIs, 20 runs and 14 walks in 38 games, while also flashing real impact power with multiple extra-base and home-run moments, including a grand slam against Norfolk State and a two-run homer vs. Saint Peter’s. At 6-foot-5 and 220 pounds, he brings a rare catcher’s frame, middle-of-the-order thump, and run-production value that makes him more than just a defensive backstop. If a team wants size, RBI punch, and a proven veteran presence, Stokely is a very interesting fit.
