Hailey McLean gives Nevada a frontline ace with strikeout bite and big-game polish
In the 2025 season, McLean emerged as Nevada’s staff anchor, going 17-7 with a 2.32 ERA, 149 strikeouts, six complete games, and two shutouts; by preseason 2026, she was named Mountain West Preseason Pitcher of the Year. That combination of workload, swing-and-miss stuff, and late-game versatility is the separator: she can start, finish, and miss bats under pressure. If a team wants a competitive, battle-tested right-hander with proven conference impact and an effective change-up, she’s a very real fit.
