Luke Albrecht brings a lefty ceiling and three-pitch upside to Valpo’s mound mix
Albrecht entered Valparaiso as the sixth-rated uncommitted lefty in Indiana in 2023 and was ranked 73rd in the state in 2024, with Valpo’s staff praising his three-pitch mix, high ceiling, and strong academic/teammate profile[2]. The appeal is clear: at 6-foot-3 and 185 pounds, he has the frame and left-handed look coaches love, plus the kind of development runway that can turn a promising prep arm into a real staff piece.
