high-efficiency freshman center with a tiny-but-promising footprint
In the 2025-26 season, Rider’s 6'2" freshman center Claudia Lazaro-Carrasco has been a low-usage, high-efficiency big, posting 1.2 points and 0.8 rebounds in 5.4 minutes per game while hitting 75.0% from the field and showing strong true-shooting/shot efficiency marks. The upside is the profile: a young rim-size center who already looks efficient around the basket, with room to grow into a more physical interior defender and rebounder. If a team wants a developmental post prospect rather than an instant-volume scorer, she’s an intriguing fit.
