Michael Middlebrooks

Michael Middlebrooks gives Illinois State a steady frontcourt anchor

Middlebrooks is producing like a reliable, low-drama forward for Illinois State in the 2025-26 season, averaging 6.0 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 0.7 assists while shooting 50.0% from the field.[1][5] His biggest differentiator is his rebounding presence and efficiency—he helps win possessions without needing high usage, which makes him a good fit for teams that value toughness, activity, and interior consistency. He was also recognized as the Missouri Valley Conference Newcomer of the Week in his Illinois State tenure, underscoring that his impact has shown up beyond the box score.[4][7]
