Aly VanBrandt is Indiana’s high-contact, high-impact leadoff engine
VanBrandt has been one of Indiana’s most dangerous all-around bats in the 2026 season, pairing elite contact with real game-breaking power and speed: she has hit .396 with 16 home runs, 62 RBI, 68 runs, and 25 steals, and she was ranked No. 72 on Softball America’s postseason top-100 list.[6] She stands out because she doesn’t just hit for average; she pressures pitchers, runs the bases aggressively, and has a track record of huge moments, including a four-hit, three-homer, seven-RBI game and multiple record-tying performances.[1][9][12]
