righty with a live arm and intriguing upside at Wright State
Coy Angel is a 6-foot-2, 200-pound junior right-hander for Wright State whose appeal comes from a mix of power stuff and versatility: in the 2024 college season, he logged 28 strikeouts in 24.1 innings over 14 appearances, and his summer work in the MLB Draft League added 21 strikeouts in 20.1 innings. He also battled back from a right-knee injury in high school, which adds some toughness cred to the profile. In short: if you want a competitive arm with strikeout ability and some runway left, Angel is worth watching.
