crafty senior arm with bullpen mileage for Long Beach State
In the 2025 season, Joey Iglesias worked 15.2 innings across 15 relief appearances for Long Beach State, a compact senior right-hander whose value is more about toughness, experience, and bullpen versatility than eye-popping numbers.[1][14] He came to the Beach after a productive run at Santa Ana College, where he logged 109 innings with 80 strikeouts and 7 saves over the 2023-24 seasons, suggesting a pitcher comfortable in leverage and not afraid of traffic.[1] The fit? A depth arm who can soak up innings and bring veteran poise, though his 2025 results show he’ll need cleaner command to win higher-leverage trust.[1][14]
