David McComb brings Miami (OH) a 6-foot-4, dual-threat QB with starter upside
In the 2026 season, McComb has already won Miami (OH)’s starting quarterback job after transferring from Kansas, and he opened the year with 16 completions on 33 attempts for 241 yards, 1 touchdown, and 0 interceptions at Pitt, showing live-arm potential even in a rough debut. He’s a redshirt freshman with a pro-style frame (6-4, 220) and adds mobility, but the bigger appeal is his upside: a former three-star recruit who beat out other options and looks like a higher-ceiling answer for a program that wanted more juice at QB.
