Nick Riggs is Omaha’s sneaky two-way spark plug
In the 2026 season, Nick Riggs gave Omaha real juice as a versatile OF/LHP, hitting .239 with 4 home runs, 3 triples, 18 RBIs, and a perfect 6-for-6 on stolen-base tries while also logging 26 innings and 13 strikeouts on the mound. The appeal is his do-a-bit-of-everything profile: power for a 5-foot-10 junior, usable speed, and enough pitching value to matter in multiple game states. He looks like the kind of high-motor, low-drama roster fit coaches love when they want toughness and flexibility.
