Calvin Cook brings contact skills and infield versatility to Middle Tennessee
Cook is a right-handed infielder whose appeal is built more on bat-to-ball ability and versatility than loud tools: he was a high-impact high school hitter, posting a .476 average with a .607 on-base percentage and 20-for-20 stolen bases in 2023, and Middle Tennessee lists him as a redshirt freshman after limited college playing time. He’s a fit for a team that values defensive flexibility, competitive energy, and an offensive profile that can create pressure on the bases, though his collegiate sample is still small and his development curve matters.
