Sage Shindler brings veteran depth and proven passing upside to Butler
In the 2024 season, Sage Shindler was a veteran Butler quarterback in a crowded room, with prior starting experience at Illinois Wesleyan where he threw for 2,190 yards and 15 touchdowns in 2021. Butler’s 2024 notes also list him as a senior, 5-foot-10 and 180 pounds, and the 2024 season preview called him one of the room’s vets. He looks like a steady, experienced fit who can handle the playbook and keep an offense on schedule, especially if a team values poise and leadership over raw size.
