veteran LA Tech lefty with strikeout upside and swing-and-miss feel
In the 2025 season, Cooley flashed real dominance for Louisiana Tech, including an 8.0-inning no-hit outing with 10 strikeouts and Conference USA Pitcher of the Week honors, showing the kind of bat-missing stuff that can change a game fast. He also brings senior-level poise and the frame of a power lefty at 6-foot-1, 215 pounds, though his 2025 season stats were more uneven overall, so the fit is strongest for a team that values upside, toughness, and a pitcher who can attack lineups with confidence when he’s dialed in.
