Lennard Freeman was NC State’s blue-collar breakout big
In the 2017-18 season, Lennard Freeman turned into a productive, rugged forward for NC State, averaging 7.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, and shooting a team-best 65.1% from the field. His calling card was toughness: he fought through earlier leg surgery, came back fully healthy, and gave the Wolfpack interior scoring, physical defense, and high-effort plays that don’t always show in the box score. If you need a strong, efficient, hard-nosed frontcourt presence, Freeman fit the bill—more grinder than glam, but exactly the kind of glue guy winning teams love.
