Marist’s Aidan Vargas is a sturdy, injury-troubled relief arm with swing-and-miss upside
Aidan Vargas is a 6-foot-2 right-handed pitcher/utility arm for Marist who returned in 2026 after missing the 2024 and 2025 seasons because of injury, and he’s shown useful relief value this spring with multiple scoreless outings and a win on May 5, 2026. In his senior year at Teaneck High, he paired a .433 average and eight homers with a 2.45 ERA and 77 strikeouts, hinting at real two-way athleticism. Why care? He looks like a durable, competitive depth piece with some hidden juice if the command keeps trending up.
