Workhorse Friday Starter With Strikeout Stuff and SEC-Level Poise
In the 2026 season, Marshburn emerged as UNC Wilmington’s ace-type arm, starting 15 games and posting a 4.57 ERA with 81 strikeouts in 80.2 innings, good for 7th in the CAA in strikeouts and 9th in ERA. He’s a big, power-built righty at 6-foot-6 who can miss bats, hold the ball in the yard, and attack big-lineup challenges—he was twice a CAA Pitcher of the Week and earned national pitcher-of-the-week honors early in 2025 after dominating Georgia. The fit is strong if you want size, durability, and a competitive starter who’s already proven he can carry a weekend role.
