Stanford’s injury-hit righty still flashes mid-rotation upside
In the 2026 season, Aidan Keenan’s results were uneven, but the Stanford right-hander still showed enough bat-missing stuff to get drafted by the Mets in the seventh round, after striking out 25 in 21 2/3 innings and limiting opponents to a .259 average against. He was a midseason rotation piece for Stanford, and an oblique injury in March clearly interrupted his momentum, which helps explain the rocky command and inconsistent run prevention. The appeal is the arm talent: when healthy, he looks like a competitive, high-ceiling starter with real strikeout ability.
