Russell Watts is a rising Samford run-stopper with early preseason buzz
Russell Watts enters the 2026 season as a sophomore DL at Samford and already flashed disruption in preseason, recording a sack in the Bulldogs’ second scrimmage. Listed at 6-foot-2 and 230 pounds, he brings a compact frame, active hands, and a high-effort motor; his high school résumé also hints at versatility and toughness, with big tackle production on both sides of the ball.
