Lefty depth piece with real upside for SLU
In the 2026 season, Harris Waghalter is a redshirt freshman left-handed pitcher for SE Louisiana who gives the Lions a developed in-state arm with size and projectable frame (6-1, 155) and a bullpen-ready lefty look[1][5]. His 2026 line shows limited usage and some growing pains—16.20 ERA in brief action—but his earlier college innings and return to the staff after a season-ending injury suggest a developmental arm worth patience[2][9].
