Logan Olson brings Penn State a big lefty frame and strikeout punch
In the 2025 season, Penn State LHP Logan Olson logged 11 starts, 28.1 innings, and 25 strikeouts, with a few strong outings that showed he can work deep enough to matter when his command is on[1][2]. At 6-foot-5 and a lefty, he has the kind of size and angle teams like, and Penn State’s notes also show he battled back from injury before settling into the rotation[1][13]. The fit? Intriguing if you want a projectable, experienced left-hander with Big Ten innings and upside — but the volatility in his 2025 run means he’s more “ceiling bet” than sure thing[1][2][6].
