Jasmine Contreras brings timely contact and clutch energy to UIW's infield
In the 2026 season, Jasmine Contreras is a junior infielder for Incarnate Word who has given the Cardinals a steady left-side option with contact-oriented production, hitting .200 with 5 hits, 1 RBI, and 1 run in limited action[2][3]. Her standout trait is competitive poise: UIW highlighted a 2024 walk-off moment from Contreras in a best-start-in-program-history stretch, which fits the profile of a player who can change a game without a loud stat line[4]. She looks like a fit for teams needing dependable infield depth, situational hitting, and a composed, team-first competitor[3][4].
