Anna Wischnowski is the workhorse arm powering UNI’s circle
In the 2026 season, Anna Wischnowski has been Northern Iowa’s primary pitcher, logging the bulk of the innings with a 4.07 ERA and a staff-best 43 strikeouts through 13 appearances, a sign of both trust and durability[1][4]. She’s shown she can eat innings, keep the Panthers competitive in tough games, and deliver high-leverage wins—while her senior/graduate leadership and full-game experience make her the kind of steady, battle-tested left side? no—right-handed presence teams love for stability[1][2][4]. If you want a pitcher who brings workload, grit, and proven game-management more than flash, she fits the bill[1][2].
