Projectable lefty with strikeout pop and summer-ball momentum
Drew Wedgeworth, a 6-foot-2, 195-pound redshirt freshman left-hander at Missouri State in 2026, looks like a classic upside play: a home-state arm with real projectability, a left-on-left weapon profile, and summer-league success that hints at strike-throwing growth. Missouri State listed him as a Springfield, Mo., product out of Glendale HS, and his Cape Catfish stint in summer 2025 was strong — 10 innings, a 0.90 ERA, 12 strikeouts and a 0.50 WHIP — which is exactly the kind of early signal coaches love for a developing arm.
