Marcello Anelli brings pro-style size and upside to Stonehill’s rotation
The 2026 Stonehill freshman right-hander arrives with a sturdy 6-foot-2, 225-pound frame and a recruiting profile that points to power potential and mound presence, not finesse[1][2]. Stonehill lists him as a high school First Team All-League pick from Corona del Mar and notes he chose the program for its community, culture, and faith connection, which suggests a coachable, team-first fit[1]. He’s still early in his college track, so the real selling point is projection: a big-bodied RHP who could grow into a heavier workload and be a useful match if your staff values upside and development.
