Jamal Branch brings veteran guard savvy and two-way steadiness to St. John’s
Jamal Branch is a seasoned St. John’s guard whose value shows up in the little things: in the 2014-15 season, he averaged 4.8 points, 2.5 assists and 2.4 rebounds while shooting 46.5% from the field and 32.3% from three, and his earlier college seasons showed he could also create with 2.7 assists per game in 2012-13[1][2]. He first earned attention as a lead guard with court vision and quickness, and his game profile suggests a steady, low-drama connector who fits teams needing ball security, poise and competence rather than flashy volume[3].
