Missouri’s clutch, strike-throwing righty with pro upside
McDevitt emerged as Missouri’s Friday starter in 2025, posting 14 strikeouts and just four walks over 11.1 innings across seven appearances, and his big-league appeal was strong enough to make him the 116th overall pick in the 2026 MLB Draft by Arizona. He stands out for a live right arm, efficient command, and the kind of clutch profile coaches trust in high-leverage roles; the main question for a team is whether he can keep sharpening his consistency as he moves from college rotation work into pro ball.
