Transfer DE Bringing Proven Tackling Prowess to UT Martin Front
Redshirt sophomore Ty Perry (6-2, 275 lbs) transferred to UT Martin Skyhawks from Troy after playing in three games during the 2024 season, showcasing his disruptive potential with a high school resume boasting 62 tackles and 13.5 TFLs at Jackson-Olin HS as a three-star recruit.[3][8] His size, strength, and all-region honors highlight a tenacious pass-rusher with FCS upside, thriving in athletic development post-redshirt year. No major injury flags; his Birmingham grit and transfer decisiveness signal a high-motor fit for teams needing immediate DL depth and explosiveness—worth watching for breakout 2025 impact.[3]
