Virginia Tech’s Branden Johnson: a physical, interior-minded forward who brings rebounding and defense
Branden Johnson is a 6-foot-8 forward known for doing the dirty work: he rebounds, defends, and scores around the rim with a strong, physical frame. Virginia Tech’s own profile said his ability to grab rebounds, score interiorly, and defend at a high level made him a “nice addition” as a graduate transfer, and his Alabama State résumé included 66 games with 46 starts plus a four-point, four-rebound average in the 2018-19 season. If you want a glue guy rather than a high-usage scorer, he fits the bill.
