steady McNeese safety with room to pop
Blake Sylvester, a 2026 junior safety for McNeese, profiles as a reliable, physical defensive back at 6-foot, 198 pounds who already showed he can get on the field and make clean, assignment-sound plays. In 2024, he played in four games and logged two tackles, both against HCU, while his career totals through 2025 show four tackles and one pass defended. He looks like a fit for a team that values discipline, toughness, and depth in the secondary more than splashy stat lines.
